About The Founder
You might think of Julie Chance as an Executive Life Coach.
Her passion is working with Entrepreneurs and Executives to gain improved business results through enhanced life skills.
She assists clients in clarifying values, passion and purpose. She then works with them to identify how their behaviors, language and beliefs are helping or hindering their ability to create the business results and life experiences they desire.
Julie has 25 years of professional experience in training, coaching, consulting, management, operations and marketing. She has taught at the University of Texas at Austin and Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. Julie has an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She is a Certified Executive Coach through the Center for Executive Coaching, a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Master Practitioner, a certified Dream Coach®, and a certified PowerConnections® trainer.
Julie is a frequent speaker
She has spoken to numerous groups including The Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development, Women of Vision and Influence (WOVI) National Conference, the Houston Chapter of the American Marketing Association, The Entrepreneur Expo, NAWBO, eWomenNetwork, the Dallas Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development and the Small Business Development Center. Julie’s articles have been published internationally and her Map A Path to Success newsletter is read by subscribers from around the world.
Before founding Strategies-By-Design, Julie worked for Horizon Health, a Dallas based company that provides services to hospitals across the country. During her tenure with the company she served in a variety of positions including Regional Director of Marketing, Regional Director of Operations, Regional Director of Outpatient Services, and Vice President of Consulting.
Julie has a passion for giving back.
When she is not helping clients Map A Path to Success, she and Molson, her golden retriever therapy dog, visit nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Julie serves on the Board of Directors for Our Friends Place, a Dallas not-for-profit empowering girls and young women to break the cycle of abuse, neglect, homelessness, and poverty. And she contributes over 50% of the profits from her Mary Kay business to Our Friends Place and other charitable causes.
